Towering Intellect

100th Post

June 28th, 2007 by Nate

This is officially the 100th post on Towering Intellect. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve gone months without a post. So, in honor of the many times you have checked on my blog only to see that I STILL haven’t written anything, with this 100th post i dedicate myself to regular (more than once a week) posts on the blog. Some of the goodness in store:

  • I’m starting to use David Allen’s Getting Things Done program. I’ll be doing a series of posts chronicling my successes, failures, difficulties and thoughts about the program. I’m hoping that it’ll be motivation for others to use the program, which is really cool, fundamentally. And I love spreading coolness.
  • In honor of this 100th post, I’m going to add some interesting functionality to my list of 100 things to do before I die. I’ve had a hard time coming up with a really suitable list of 100 things, so I’m going to try to find something that allows visitors to add stuff to the list and vote on the various items to rank them. I’m thinking that maybe by inviting democracy into my life goals will result in some awesome suggestions. If you know of a plugin or something that will let me do that, leave me a comment.
  • I just bought a spa-yellow 2001 Honda S2000. It’s a sweet ride, and I expect to gush about it periodically on the blog.
  • Living in Provo, sometimes the urge to rant hits. Prepare to feel the wrath when it does.
  • And finally, two words: brain dump.

So thanks for reading. And here’s to the next hundred posts, may they be funnier, more informative, and better written than the last.

Seriously—it’s about time. I’m excited that I’ll actually have things to read when I pop on here again. Hooray!

Maybe I’ll take this opportunity to better distinguish myself on your site by changing my screen name to the ever popular “The Other Nate.” Yarrrrrrp!
