This Post Is Dedicated to Casey Alvarez

July 31st, 2007 by Nate

This blog post is all about dedication, in that it’s dedicated to my friend Casey Alvarez, who is going to serve an 18-month ecclesiastical mission for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). She’s pretty dedicated herself. And I’m dedicated to keeping my word, which is why I’m writing this blog post. So here’s your blog post Case. It’s all about you. This is your post. YOUR POST! How does it feel? You should leave a comment to tell the world what you think…

Kick ‘Em To The Curb

July 10th, 2007 by Nate

In a move that I have to appreciate, Sprint Kicks Whiners To The Curb. Now, before you get mad, consider that we’ve all had to deal with whiny people who simply won’t be satisfied. Let’s face it, chronic whiners suck. And when you have a friend who acts that way, it doesn’t take you very long before you start screening their calls, hiding when they ring your doorbell, and *gasp* blocking them on your chat clients. And the best part is that nobody will begrudge you that.

I honestly can’t blame Sprint for doing the same thing that any one of us would do. In fact, I think that in a world where it seems that companies are walking on eggshells to preserve their corporate image, it’s refreshing to see that Sprint is willing to make what is most definitely a smart decision regardless of possible PR blowback. But don’t take my word for it. Listen to what Seth has to say about it.

Now think about this in terms of your own life: Do you spend a lot of time, effort, and energy trying to please that one person who always runs you down? Are you always trying to impress the unimpressible or satisfy the constantly critical? Maybe it’s time to give them a mental kick to the curb as well.
