I served a mission in Chile, and have a Chilean flag hanging up in my house. The Chilean flag, and the Texan Flag are very simmilar in their apperance. Last night, my roommate had a date. She is from Texas. She looked at my flag and said 'HEY! WHO SERVED IN TEXAS?'. I just laughed. I said, 'That isn't the Texas flag'. She was adament that it was, because she's FROM Texas, and she KNOWS her flag. I proceeded to pull up a picture of her flag on the internet, and put it next to a picture of the Chilean flag. Needless to say she felt pretty stupid. I have no guilt in telling this story, cause the chic was a total snot. I do not, however, hold all Texans in the same esteem as I hold this incredibly ignorant . I just thought it was a funny story, so all you texans out there... take no offence, cause there was none intended! I hope you all get a laugh out of it. Funny story about Texas.
